Title: Pepsi Cola Hits The Spot
Post by: Henry on August 30, 2007, 07:15:50 AM
Hi all,

Mike Cain has a little blurb on some new soda machines at the school and talks about the old days and buying soda at Parsons Store in glass bottles for 10 cents.  I'm just a bit older than Mike and remember when this little jingle used to be sung on the radio.

Pepsi Cola hits the spot
12 oz bottles thats a lot
Twice as much for a nickle too
Pepsi Cola is the drink for you

Can't remember the jingles that went with Ice Cream, but Sealtest was always my favorite.  It came in 5 cent and 10 cent tubs that you could use a little wooden spoon to eat it with.  Of course a farm boy like me didn't get the little tubs, I used to get the pints of ice cream for 25 cents.
