INCIDENT: Location of skeletal remains
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
With the assistance of The Burlington Police Department and The Office of Chief Medical Examiner, the human remains located in Colchester on 12/02/15 have been positively identified as Brad S. Bosley, who was reported missing on June 10, 2012. Bosley was 37 years old when he was reported missing to the Burlington Police Department, after he left Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington against the advise of medical staff.
Due to the condition of the remains and the lack of any other identifiable information, an immediate positive identification could not be made. Dental records for Mr. Bosley were obtained and utilized by a forensic odonatologist to confirm his identity. An autopsy of Bosley was also conducted and the OCME determined his manner of death was suicide.
No further information about Bosley’s previous medical record will be released.

INCIDENT: Location of skeletal remains
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On December 2, 2015 a passerby contacted the State Police Barracks in Williston regarding possibly locating skeletal remains along the southbound off ramp. The passerby took photographs of the remains to show Troopers upon their arrival. State Police Troopers arrived on scene and positively identified the remains as human skeletal remains. Detectives also responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Detectives determined based on the condition of the remains that they had been in the area for a number of years. The remains were collected and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for examination and for possible identification. State Police detectives are currently working with Colchester and other area municipal police departments for identification of the remains. This investigation remains ongoing.
