Title: Funeral Arrangements For Mildred Warren

Mildred Warren, age 92 passed away this past Tuesday night at her home on Fletcher Road here in Fairfax.  Visiting hours will be held at the A W Rich Funeral home this coming Sunday, December 20th, from 3 to 6 PM.  The funeral will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church next Monday, December 21st at 11 am with burial to follow in Sanderson Corners Cemetery.  I will post her obituary here when I receive it.

Obituary for Mildred Warren


Mildred “Millie” Leola (Comette) Warren, 92, a lifelong resident of Fairfax passed away on Wednesday December 16, 2015 at her home. She was born in Fairfax on May 29, 1923 daughter of the late Velmore and Myra (Cross) Comette.

Millie worked 16 years as a dedicated custodian at BFA Fairfax. She was a devoted and loved parishioner of St. Luke Church in Fairfax. She was an avid deer hunter with her husband George and brother Bernard. Fellow deer hunters remember her 8 point 180 pound buck taken on the Parson’s Farm. Millie looked forward to her bingo games and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. If there was ever a good joke to be hold Millie was the one that could tell it and always had a new joke available for all of her friends and family who will dearly miss her infectious smile and loving personality.

She is survived by her son Richard Warren and wife Susan, a grandson Todd Warren and wife Juanita, 3 great grandchildren Nicki, Brittany, Michael, 3 great great grandchildren, Carter, Chloe, Annabelle and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also predeceased by her husband George Warren, her son Bruce Warren and brothers Bernard Comette and Armand Comette.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 20, 2015 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. aw A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church, Fairfax with Reverend Henry Furman officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Sanderson Corners Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Millie’s memory may be made to St. Luke Church, P.O. Box 7, Fairfax, VT 05454.
