Title: Bernard Demag Dies At Age 74

Bernard Joseph Demag passed away on April 26, 2016 in St. Albans, Vt. He was 74.

 Bernie was born on September 15, 1941 in Winooski, Vt. to his parents Bernard Sr. and Alice Demag. He attended Winooski High School. Bernie than served in the U.S. Army in the armored division, "Old Ironsides," where he did two tours. He trained in Fort Hood, Tx. and served in Germany. He married Mary Ellen Cheeseman of Burlington, Vt. on August 20, 1966. Bernie was employed with Pizzagalli Const. Co., where he worked for 35 years, retiring as a Mechanical Superintendent.

 Bernie loved his career with Pizzagalli, American history and was an avid outdoors man, he also loved spending time with his family.

 Bernie is survived by his spouse, Mary Demag; his mother Alice Demag; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Paul Whalen of Fairfax, Vt.; his son and daughter-in-law, Bernard and Ruthanna Demag of Wolcott, Vt.; his sisters Gloria Vezina and Mary Ann LeClair; brothers Albert and David Demag and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter Irene Demag and father Bernard Demag Sr.

 Visiting hours will be held at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Winooski, Vt. on May 1, 2016 from two to five pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Francis Church in Winooski, Vt. at 10 am on May 2, 2016. Condolences may be shared at www.lavignefuneralhome.com.
