Saturday, September 3, 10am-12pm: Edible/Medicinal Plants Walk
Laurie DiCesare leads this walk around the rec. trails across from the school to look at the native plants and discuss the botany, habitat, ecology (plant/animal and plant/insect interactions), edible/medicinal and useful aspects, Native American and Colonial uses and a sprinkling of folklore. Meet at the parking lot of the rec. park for a little show-and-tell preceding the walk. (Rain date Sept. 4th.) Cost is $8. Please register. 849-2420
Tuesday, September 6, 6-8pm: Family Game Night
Join us for this fun monthly tabletop game event! Bring a favorite game or come and learn a new one. Drop in. Ages 5+.
Thursday, September 8, 6:30-8pm: Book Group- shares what we read over the summer. Bring in copies of your favorites and tell everyone a little about them. We will also distribute our October pick: Water: A Natural History by Alice Outwater.
Saturday, September 10: 10am-12pm: Fall Leaf Pendant
Make a beautiful beaded pendant in this hands-on class led by local jeweler Elizabeth Finstad. Cost is $10. Recommended ages 16+. Please register. 849-2420
