Hi All,
When I went down Maple Street yesterday, there were a couple of Tourist taking some pictures of the Covered Bridge.
There are two very popular places that not only the Tourist, but locals photograph here in town and those are the Covered Bridge and From the top of Main Hill or Hunt Street, over the village looking towards Mt. Mansfield.
Actually the best photographs of Fairfax I have seen were taken by a local photographer, David Juaire. David does an absolutely fantastic job and if you would like to see some of his work, the next time you are down at The Fairfax Town Office, check out the meeting room wall. He has some Fall Photos and some Winter Photos that he gave to the town all framed and matted. Absolutely beautiful.
I actually knew David Juaire's parents and family back many years ago when they lived up on The Howrigan Road in Fairfield. David belongs to The Ascension Parish in Georgia and we usually have him take the First Communion Photos here in Fairfax at St. Lukes. When we celebrated our 40th Wedding Anniversary back in 2000, we had David take our photos and have like a 16 x 20 photo of our family taken up near the Grotto at St. Luke's. Just as clear as it can be.
This year down at the fair, David had some photos on display, but on the day we went, there was nothing but an empty space and a sold sign there.

the tourist's are here in Waterbury too!! New Jersey, Conn., Penn., those are just some of the plates I saw on cars parked along the street during the walk with my wife yesterday.
I also notice many like to use my fire stations front parking pad, as their own personal turn around/map reading spot.

They also use the spot in front of the museum, and one Sunday, a camper pulled over in front of the funeral home to do "something". Not sure what. Could have been a bathroom break.
This morning, a couple stopped me as I was crossing the bridge over the Lamiolle River and was wondering where the "Country Kitchen" was. I told them the "Country Pantry" was just up the hill and around the corner on the left. As they drove off the sun was inmy eyes, but i think they had Florida plates.
Monday morning, there were three couple on motorcycles with Ontario plates down at Steeple Market.
