Green Mountain Care is up and running as of October 1st. Information and enrollment can be obtained by calling 1-800-250-8427, or at www.GreenMountainCare.org (http://www.GreenMountainCare.org). Green Mountain care is a series of programs to help Vermonters secure health coverage. It includes the new Catamount Health Plan and Premium Assistance Programs, Medicaid, VHAP, Dr. Dynasaur, and Prescription Assistance Programs.  More than 65,00 Vermonters do not have health insurance and many are eligible for the new Premium Assistance Programs or can purchase a new comprehensive Catamount Health Plan at it full cost. Franklin and Grand Isle Counties have 9% uninsured.  If you or someone you know does not have Health Coverage, please give them the toll free number or the web address. The goal is to have all eligible Vermonters covered.
