Title: United Church Having A "Just-For-Fun-Of-It Community Meal"
Post by: Henry on October 25, 2007, 07:33:59 AM
Just-for-the-fun-of-it Community Meal at the United Church Thursday, October 25 from 5-6:30.  Come and join us for good food and good fellowship.  All are welcome for a simple evening meal.

For information call Rev. Elizabeth @849 6588 or pastorliz@earthlink.net

I sent Rev. Elizabeth a note and asked her if it was a pot-luck supper and she told me:

"No.  It is not potluck.  It doesn't cost anything more than a free will offering. A bunch of us at the United Church are putting it on for the fun of it, and I have invited a lot of homebound folks......"

I told her I might take a run down and see how it turns out and bring my camera with me.  Rev. Elizabeth responded with:

"Needless to say,  you are welcome to stop by, but I am not sure who will be there--10 or 100 or 0....we are taking a leap of faith with this!"

We are having our third community supper tonight at the United Church from 5 to 6:30.  It is a beautiful evening to come share a meal.  The info other than the date is still the same from our first supper held in October.  Tonights menu is a variation on chicken and biscuits.  Hope to see you there.
