Waterbury, Vermont - November 12, 2007

Police are on the lookout for a patient who escaped from the Vermont State Hospital.

They say Sunday night, 27-year-old Gregory Boereau opened a window in an unsecured area of the hospital. A staff member tried to stop him, but the worker was pushed out of the way and Boereau escaped.

He is a Haitian male, and was last seen wearing an orange jacket, blue jeans, black shoes and a beige colored baseball hat. One side of his head has braids, the other is in a pony tail. He is 5'4" tall and weighs about 165 pounds.

If you see Boereau, do not approach him, police say he may be dangerous.
