Hi All,
Well, when I got up around 7 this morning, temperature was 5.9 degrees above zero. Its truly one of those clear, crisp Vermont mornings that makes me enjoy the warmth from inside the house - I guess I won't take a walk today.
I suspect "Smarty" the squirrel won't be coming out today. I trapped the chipmunk in about an hour, however, "Smarty" and I are having some problems - He climbs up the bird feeder pole, eats away at the seed ball until he knocks it to the ground, antagonizes the cat and walks right by the hav-a-hart trap. The only thing I have caught in the hav-a-hart trap are two chickadees. I may have to invest in one of those domes that go on the bird feeder pole.
Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Yes!!!! Just another trial of a retiree trying to outsmart a squirrel.
