Winter weather advisory in effect until 2 pm est this afternoon.
The NWS has issued a winter weather advisory, which is in effect until 2 pm est this afternoon for central and northern vermont.
A fast moving area of light mixed precipitation ahead of a warm front will impact upstate vermont including the champlain valley, green mountains, and the connecticut river valley in the late morning into the early afternoon. Temperatures in the advisory area range from the teens to twenties. The precipitation will likely start out as snow and sleet and continue to transition quickly to freezing rain.
