LEONARD R. BOUTIN BURLINGTON — Leonard R. Boutin, 80, of Burlington died Saturday, March 29, 2008, after a long illness in Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington. He was born in Williston, on Jan. 6, 1928, the son of the late Philbert and Mabel (Blair) Boutin. Leo was a farmer for many years. He worked and later owned the family farm in Williston. He also owned the Rest Haven Motel on Williston Rd. Leo was an avid writer and a crusader for peace. He is survived by two sisters in-law, Rose Boutin of Connecticut and Isabel Boutin of Fairfax; two brothers-in-law, Larry Laneuville and John Cote, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Leo was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Donald and Morris; and by two sisters, Helena Laneuville and Rita Cote. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 1, at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Catholic Church in Burlington. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Richmond this spring. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are by the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. Winooski, Vt.
