I heard on the news people are stealing Catalytic Converters off cars on the Plattsburg Campus for the metal. I asked Erin if they would be having a metal recycle bin down at Hazardous Waste Day at the Town Garage on April 26th and she told me they would. Probably all we need to do is put it beside the road and someone will pick it up.
I suspect that All Cycle won't want to leave a bin of scrap metal there at the Town Garage over night, otherwise they will be coming back to an empty bin.

Catalytic converters contain some amounts of platinum. It as well as copper have become recent targets for theft due their increase of worth.
-
Aren't the converters considered hazardous for a reason - meaning some of the components could make you really sick?
-
It is actually the by products of the fuel that are toxic. The converter is used not to curtail some of the toxic chemicals. They were created when unleaded gas became more prevalent.
