Title: Binghamville No Stranger To Tragic Deaths Of Young People
Post by: Henry on April 16, 2008, 07:40:38 AM
Binghamville, as most of you know is a small town, so if you live in Binghamville, everyone is most likely a neighbor.  I was thinking when I heard about Heather Mansfield's tragic death, that since 1999, Heather is the third young person to die tragically from that small town.  The other two were Rob Sheltra, age 23, who died February 14, 1999 and Kenny Jerome, who was brought up in Binghamville on July 7, 2005.

I received the following note from a resident of The Shaw Road in Binghamville:

"Hi Henry,
Saw your thread this a.m. about Binghamville.  The Binghamville neighbors have all been thinking about this too.  Interesting note:  Robert, Heather and Kenny all lived on the Shaw Road (same side of the road), right next door to each other and grew up together.  We are a tight knit group on the Shaw Road and have shared many laughs as well as any tears over the years."

I personally have made an interesting observation regarding Binghamville/Fletcher.  When a tragedy happens in that town, which has really only a General Store, everybody turns out to help.  A typical Rural Vermont Community.
