Title: Dandelion Season Means Different Things To Different People

JoAnne Wilkins happen to see this field of dandelions up on Doug Webbs Farm and saw it as a thing of beauty:

My Grandmother (Dad's Mother) would have seen it as a great source of dandelion wine - I have no idea how she made it, but heard her talk about it:

My mother shown below in the 1940s, with the old reel type lawnmower saw them as an indestructible weed that the reel lawnmower would not cut:

I remember when I bought my first rotary lawnboy from Don Boutin back in the early 60s, my dad used to borrow it to mow his lawn and they all marvelled at how it would cut down dandelions.  I still have the old reel type mower here - My sister gave it to me to keep as a souvenir - Does it work?? - I have absolutely no idea.
