Lloyd D. Dezotelle
Cambridge - Lloyd Douglas Dezotelle, 75 passed away on Thursday May 29, 2008 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. Lloyd was born on February 12, 1933 son of the late Harold and Muriel (Coburn) Dezotelle, Sr. in Belvidere, VT. He married the love of his life the former Marlene Harvey on November 6, 1953 in St. Mary’s Church in Cambridge. He had worked for over 35 years with the Johnson Woolen Mill. Just prior to his retirement he dedicated 6 years as a custodian with Johnson Elementary School. As an experienced sugar maker he always looked forward to the annual sugar making season in Vermont. Together with his wife Marlene he helped to organize the many family gatherings and was well known as the family jokester never missing an opportunity for a good practical joke on his family and friends. Lloyd and his sense of humor will be missed by all who truly knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 54 years Marlene (Harvey) Dezotelle, Four brothers: Willard Dezotelle, Sr. and wife Delia of Waterville; Philip Dezotelle of Battle Creek, MI; Lyman Dezotelle and wife Beverly of Northfield; Harold Dezotelle, Jr. and wife Rena of Jeffersonville.
His sister Verna Longe and husband Wallace of Jeffersonville and many nieces and nephews including a special nephew Danny Dezotelle of Jeffersonville. A brother-in-law Clayton Russell of Hyde Park, two Twin Sisters-In-law; Zilda Maynard of Enosburg Falls and Zona Bryce and husband Olin of Cambridge.
He was also predeceased by his sisters: Beryl Kalahan; and Mary Lou Dezotelle.
There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service with interment will be held on Monday June 2, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. on the family lot in Jeffersonville Village Cemetery with the Reverend Elizabeth Griffin officiating.
