A St. Albans man won $100,000 playing a Vermont Lottery instant game, Lottery officials said today.

David Wells kept to his usual practice of purchasing a handful of instant tickets each Friday at the Colonial Deli Mart. His winnings were revealed when he scratched a Casino Riches ticket, said Lottery officials.
