Title: Fairfax/Fletcher Meals on Wheels
Post by: upsy on June 12, 2008, 01:30:45 PM
The Fairfax/Fletcher Meals on Wheels program is a program that delivers hot meals Monday - Friday, to those unable to prepare their own meals and helps them to maintain independence in their own homes.  It also serves as a way to check on persons living alone and for them to have a visit or contact with someone.

The program is looking for volunteers for the Fairfax/Fletcher area. Because of the cost of fuel, they would like enough volunteers so each person could deliver twice a month instead of once a week.  It takes 1 hour, once a month, or once every other week.

To volunteer please call Lisa Townsend, CVAA,  1-800-642-5119   ext 1040 and let her know you want to volunteer.

The program is under the supervision of the Champlain Valley on Aging Agency
