I received this information from a reliable source just now. Apparently it wasn't reported to the police, or I didn't see it on the news:
A friend of mine was attacked in the Costco parking lot last week. She had parked in the far end (to get the recommended exercise). When she was unloading her cart a man pulled up and said, “nice car”. She said thanks and proceeded to put her groceries away. He then got out of the car and grabbed her. She thinks he was going for her pocketbook which she was wearing.
Luckily she yelled and the guy got scared and left. (not before calling her a bunch of profanities).
Costco is one of the busiest parking lots in the state. Just goes to show that we need to be alert at all times and no place is off limits to crime these days.
