Title: Selectboard Minutes For June 9, 2008 Are Available
Post by: Henry on June 13, 2008, 12:40:30 PM
Hi All,

Selectboard Minutes have been received and have been uploaded so that you can view them if you wish.  An interesting topic in this week's minutes.  Some people have presented a petition not to have a certain portion of a road blacktopped.  I remember a similiar situation a number of years ago when that happened on the Huntville Road.  Someone over there used to ride horses on the Huntville Road and felt that the road shouldn't be paved because of that.   Too long ago for this old mind to remember.

Might as well make everyone happy - There is a very short stretch of road up here on the Shepardson Hollow Road that isn't blacktopped, just before the Beeman Road that I am sure would make those people very happy, since I believe the Beeman Road is all paved.

I remember back when we first moved where we are in the 1950s - They paved the Fletcher Road to just about where the Tracy Road is now and I remember saying "Oh Crap - couldn't they have just come a couple hundred more feet??"

Just goes to show, you can't make everybody happy, no matter how hard you try.
