Single family home development awaits O.K. in Fairfax

Fairfax – A proposed Fairfax housing development is under state review.

The application for six single family homes on a 20-acre parcel off Lawton Road will go to an Act 250 hearing only if a party having rights under state statute raises a pertinent issue for further investigation.

The proposal is offered by Neal and Delores LaRiviere of Lawton Road in Fairfax.  The new development would be served by on-site water and wastewater services and a new 1,900 foot road.

Should a hearing be held, it would be on or before June 3.

Parties entitled to participate are the municipality and municipal planning commission, and adjoining municipalities, regional planning commission, state agencies, adjoining property owners and others granted party status under the statute.

Questions on the project and or application for party status should be submitted to the District 6 Environmental Commission at 111 West St., Essex Jct., Vt. 05452.  Telephone: 802-879-5657.
