Five young men from the BFA Fairfax graduating class of 2008 have joined the Armed Services. Josh Boucher, Sam Graves, Jake Langelier and Anthony Mapes have joined the VT Army National Guard. Elijah Paradee has joined the US Navy. They were recognized at the graduation ceremony by BFA Principal Scott Lang and received a standing ovation. If you see them around town, don't forget to shake their hand and thank them for their service to our country.
Anthony is headed off for Missouri this coming Tuesday, July 15th and was by to say good-bye today. I would like to keep track, if possible, of these young men and perhaps put their addresses up so we can drop them a line. One of the mothers, who had another son in the service a while back, told me that she is sure they would be glad to get letters from home. Anthony told me today, he was sure they would not have Internet to check my forum.
