ST. ALBANS, Vt. -- A St. Albans man took his frustration at getting a traffic ticket out on a "No Parking" sign Wednesday and got himself arrested in connection with the outburst, Vermont State Police said.

Nathan Laroe, 18, was pulled over by police near St. Albans Bay Park for running a stop sign, police said.

Laroe became very upset after he was pulled over and continually swore during the traffic stop, police said. After being issued a traffic ticket for running the stop sign, police were leaving the scene when Laroe walked to the front of his vehicle and punched a "No Parking" sign, police said. He also yelled profanities, police said.

About a half-dozen children younger than 5 years old were playing in the park during the incident, police said. Laroe caused such a scene that most of the children's parents were staring in his direction, police said.

Laroe was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
