Title: North Cambridge A Real Mess I Am Told
Post by: Henry on July 20, 2008, 07:58:17 AM
I have not been up there, but am told that if you take the road that goes down by the Public Beach at Metcalf Pond and keep on going until you get to the end where there is a T and take a left that the damage is unbelievable up in there.  You probably could get there by taking the Rushford Road and keep on going on that also.  No one has taken any photos up in there that I am aware of.  I believe that is the road that Norbert Collins son Ray and his family live on.  They usually go to the 11 a.m. Mass, so if I see them there today, will check with them.

Glenn Russell of The Burlington Free Press has 15 photos on the Free Press web site of the storm damage up in Fletcher/Cambridge:

Wow, Matt Ryan's photos are pretty amazing!  I wonder if anyone can get an aerial shot of the damage to the trees showing the swath the wind cut?

I goofed - It was Glenn Russell that took the photos - I will send him a note and see if he thinks anyone will take an aerial photo like Suzy mentioned.
