Did anyone else hear about the high speed chase in Fairfax on Saturday night?
-
Franklin County Sheriff's Department has confirmed there was a chase and one person was apprehended.
They did not say anyone else was being searched for.
A Press Release is expected later today.
-
I heard this briefly on the 11pm News last night. I only caught a photo of a wrecked car. It was not clear who was hurt, police or drive of the car they were chasing! Today, on the News there is nothing about the situation. Thanks for the update. Do we know WHY they were chasing this person?
-
Tonight's Messenger only says that A Friday night high-speed chase involving Franklin county Sheriff's deputies ended with a single vehicle rollover on Goose Pond Road in Fairfax on Friday night at about 11. No further information was available as of this morning.
-
To the best of my knowledge.....
The person being chased rolled his vehicle.
-
Why is this information not being released? There was a high speed chase, what was the reason for a high speed chase? If there were other folks driving the roads, would they have been in danager? Seems to be many unanswered questions here.

Have you called the police to get your answers?

I now have the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Press Release.
They did not delay releasing it, I have been extremely busy.
The driver did get away, but he has since been apprehended.
The injured young man was 18.
It occured 7/20 at 01:00 when the deputy was investigating a citizen complaint in regards to a possible domestic that was taking place on the roadway on Rt. 104 in Fairfax.
While speaking to possible witnesses on Sand Hill Road, a vehicle came down Sand Hill Road and attempted to hit the deputy standing beside his marked cruiser.
The deputy jumped out of the way, a chase followed for about 4 miles, operator lost control on Goose Pond Road, crashed in a ditch and ended up upside down.
18 year old passenger (Milton resident) transported to hospital, driver ran away.
And as of now, to the best of my knowledge, the driver has been caught as well.
The deputy was not injured.
