CARON
WILLISTON / MILTON — Elizabeth O. Caron, 88, died Sunday morning, July 20, 2008, in the Starr Farm Nursing Home in Burlington. Elizabeth was born on April 14, 1920, in Sheldon, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Furkey) Sholan. On June 21, 1941, she married Joseph Caron in Lew-iston, Maine. Elizabeth was a longtime parishioner of St. Ann's in Milton and of Our Lady of Grace in Colchester. She loved cross stitching, needlepoint and knitting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially loved caring for newborns. Elizabeth is survived by her sons Larry Caron and wife, Cynthia of Williston, Dennis Caron of Colchester, Richard Caron of Williston, and Gary Caron and wife, Patty of Colchester; by her daughters Patty Atwood and husband, Ray of Bolton, Judy Caron-Mayville of Maryville, Tenn., and Janice Bolio and husband, Jim of Milton. By 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren; her sister Frances Sholan of St. Albans, sisters Jeannette Raymo and husband, Bob Britch of Sheldon, and Rita Cheney of Hartford, Conn.; and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Caron on Sept. 25, 1976; her sister Nelda Gamache; and by her brotherin-law Bartlett Raymo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 24, at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Catholic Church in Milton. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery in Fairfax. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 172 N. Main St., Barre, VT 05641-4124. Elizabeth's family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Craig Bartlett and those at Fletcher Allen Health Care and Starr Farm Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Elizabeth during her times of need. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 23, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a wake service held by Fr. Feltz at 3:45 p.m., and from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home, located on Route 7, Milton.
