The rainfall tally in Burlington since June 1st, ....We are now over 15" ..At 15.01..... more than 6" above normal. And I have been hearing so many people say to me "just think if this was winter, ...And we were getting snow! Think of how much snow we'd be getting. Well ,...the water to snow ratio can vary from about 1 to 3, with very slushy snow, to as much as 1 inch of rain to 20" or more, of light fluffy snow. But if we use an average rain to snow ratio of 1" to a foot of snow, ...We would have gotten about 15 feet of snow or over since June 1st. And that would have made some skiers/riders very, very happy.
