Post by: Carolyn Branagan on September 13, 2008, 03:21:16 PM
The Growing Money Financial Education Program is a great opportunity to learn how to better manage personal finances and is  sponsored by the Franklin-GrandIsle Community Partnership. The program will be held in St. Albans in 4 sessions starting October 8 on Wednesday mornings from 9am until 11am.The location has not yet been set.  The topic for the four sessions will be Financial Self Protection: how to manage spending and credit.

Growing Money now provides free financial coaching to participants to help them define financial goals, and offers support in taking steps to reach those goals. Areas of focus include managing spending, budgeting and tracking, getting credit under control, obtaining and fixing errors on credit reports, beginning to save or invest and opening bank accounts. If you need further information, contact Jim White (CVOEO) at 802.860.1417x102 or call me at 527-7694. There is no charge for these classes. I'll let  you know the location for these worthwhile classes as soon as possible.
