Pete Coolum has just opened his garage at his home here in Fairfax at 145 Coolum Road. Pete graduated from BFA-Fairfax in 1978 and since that time has been doing Auto Repair, so he has 30 years experience. Pete has worked for Suburu in Burlington, then Hungerfords in St. Albans as well as Maurice's Service Center in St. Albans, then back to Suburu. He recently left Burlington Suburu after being there for 17 years to start his own business at home.
Even though Pete's sign says, "Specializing In Suburu Repair," he works on just about anything from Lawn Mowers, to 4-Wheelers, to Tractors, Farm Machinery & all Domestic & Foreign Cars as well. His hours are 8-5, Monday thru Friday. He recently moved to a new one story home he built on the hill behind his garage, so his wife can maneuver more easily. Since his wife no longer drives, it certainly will be much more advantageous for him to work closer to home. Pete's family have been our neighbors for many, many years and I certainly wish him well in his new venture.
