This is a front page copyright photo by Greg Lemoureaux in the County Courier http://www.countycourieronline.com/ (http://www.countycourieronline.com/).  I have reduced it, so doubt anybody could make a good copy of it.  Wonder if anybody can identify where it might have been taken from.  You can see the antenna's on top of the mountain in the distance.

Henry,

Are you soliciting for guesses ?   Do you know where the photo was taken ?

My perspective only here -- which is obviously slanted toward McNall Road.   I think this photo was taken from one of meadows on top of the hill.     The ledge , fence line and ridges in background all look very familiar.  ( Field located on South Side of McNall Road )  ...   If' I'm wrong,  no worries, I'm getting old ...........

Thanks for everything,  this website keeps us transplants informed of the local news --

I sent Greg a note to make sure it was ok to put his copyrighted photo up on my forum - I find that just about everyone will let you do that if you ask.  If you look on The Virtual Vermont web site, you will see a photo of Fairfax that was taken by David Juaire - again, as long as they are given credit for the photo, they usually don't mind.  Below is the note that Greg sent back to me and Mike McNall was right on when he identified where the photo was taken:

Hello Henry,

Thanks for the inquiry of the photo. It was taken on McNall Road, or Georgia Hill Rd, not sure what the difference is, I think its the same road. Your welcome to use the photo as long as you give photo credit to the county courier and myself (which you have done). It would also be great if you could put a link back to the home page of the courier. Thanks for checking on the use of the photo, I almost always let people use them when they ask, its when they dont that I get upset.
