Joe Tymecki Joins VPT As Director of Engineering
Joe Tymecki has joined Vermont Public Television, the statewide public television network, as director of engineering. He is responsible for engineering and technology for VPT's Colchester studio and statewide transmission network.
Tymecki is managing the change to digital for VPT's master control and production facilities.
He returns to VPT 12 years after leaving for engineering positions with Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) and The Weather Channel in Atlanta. He worked most recently in Vermont as chief engineer at WCAX-TV and before that at Sison Broadcasting (WVMT and WXXX radio).
He is a graduate of Vermont Technical College and was recently certified as a Professional Broadcast Engineer by the SBE (Society of Broadcast Engineers).
He is a resident of Fairfax.
