Not trying to throw cold water on Hazardous Waste Day, but be aware that if you happen to be driving by an Ace Hardware Store, they do accept your fluorescent tubes and dispose of them for free anytime.  There is one located in St. Albans and also one in Essex Center -

Thanks, Henry

I made it over there with my oil but I won't pay to dispose of Tires.

Why doesn't Fairfax have a free tire day like every other town?

They wanted $5 per tire this morning!

How will you dispose of your tires?  I don't know that any town can really afford to accept tires without a fee.  JMHO.

Every town around here has a free tire disposal day twice a year.

You can find out usually on the CCSW web site.
