Not a cloud in the sky, bright sunshine and the occasional colored leaf floating down from the big maples in the front lawn. It got down to 27.1 degrees and at 8 a.m. it was 30 degrees.
We are headed for a warm-up later in the week now, but for sure, the gardens are done with. Saw Orman Ovitt out on Sunday afternoon with his grass-catcher behind his lawnmower picking up leaves. As for me, since I live out here in the country, will hope for a good South wind at which time I will then put on my winter jacket, jump on my John Deere, power up the mower and go out and blow what leaves I have to the wind. Were I living in the village or city, the neighbors might get a little upset at that.
It is definitely fall.
