WESTFORD — Vermont 128 in Westford was closed for a time Wednesday while safety crews dealt with a utility pole that was downed when the boom of a passing forklift caught the utility lines.
A flatbed truck owned by McRae’s Towing and Auto Service was hauling a forklift south on Vermont 128 when the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m.
The pole sideswiped a vehicle traveling behind the flatbed, causing slight damage, state police said. There were no injuries.
Vermont 128 between Brookside Drive and Woods Hollow Road was closed for several hours while utility crews worked to restore the damaged pole and lines.

Apparently according to the photos I saw, it happened just beyond twin hills towards Westford around the Post Office around 3:30 in the afternoon - Haven't heard if any of our commuters got held up or not, however they could have detoured up by the school and come over the Woods Hollow Road or over the Plains Road to Fairfax.

I detoured Sand hill road to get to fairfax. from the location, i initially thought it was Farm Stand related as with the way some folks dart through there - an accident was bound to happen. Guess it's better it was som eother mishap.
