Title: The Last Mowing
Post by: Henry on October 15, 2008, 07:45:02 AM
Yesterday was perhaps the first year I have done my last mowing of the lawn in close to 70 degree temperatures.  There was a nice South wind and a few of the leaves have started to fall.

Although some people get a little sad at the end of summer, not me.  Its almost like hibernation time.  Went down to the village in the early evening and saw some of my neighbors packing their car getting ready to head South.  I expect that Kelly Sweet will be out with the equipment picking the corn and shelling it soon as shown in the October 2007 photo below:

Hardly seems possible that it will be five years, come this January that I have had this forum up - It took a while to get it going, but now we have quite a few people posting things and communicating with the rest of the forum community.  I am very pleased that we have such a nice group on here and many, many thanks for all your contributions and news.
