Police received reports of about 20 thefts from unlocked vehicles today, said Milton Police Department Officer Christopher Grenier.
A vehicle theft reported during the same time frame appears to be connected with the larcenies, he said.
Grenier said the vehicle, which had been unlocked with the keys in the ignition, was recovered today and sustained some damage. The cars from which items were stolen showed no signs of forced entry.
Most of the thefts took place in the village and southern end of town, he said — and involved small, easily concealed items.
Anyone with information regarding these larcenies is encouraged to contact the Milton Police Department at 893-2424.

One thing we need to keep in mind - Lock your cars.
Channel 3 reported last night that all of the cars were left unlocked and the car that was stolen, well, it was unlocked with the keys in the ignition.
