Ever wondered what to do with some of this stuff you can't throw in the trash?? Well, I think most of us have.
This past week I had an air conditioner that I had built in through the wall removed. It was great while it was working, but once it goes on the fritz, replacing it with one exactly the same dimensions - Well that's another story. It appears that big improvements in technology between the time I bought the original and when it conked out on me made the identical cooling output air conditioners much smaller, so I just replaced it with a portable window airconditioner and let it go at that.
It has probably been 8 or 10 years the old useless air conditioner has been sitting there, but it is now removed. What to do with it?? Well, I just missed the Fairfax HHH Day here in October, so thought, I'll just have somebody help me load it in the back of my van and go searching for a trash place that will take the old airconditioner, when all of a sudden it hit me.
I have someone just up the road from me that picks up this stuff, so, gave Lois Jerome a call - I left a message and sure enough, Lois called back and will be picking up my old airconditioner next Thursday after her school bus route is completed - Don't know what she will charge, but in a small town like this, you know who does right by you and who doesn't. I know Lois will do it for a reasonable price and I will be rid of the old airconditioner.
