Title: Fairfax Fireman Finds Slashed Tires When Responding To Fire Today
Post by: Henry on December 19, 2008, 07:02:50 PM
It was a van parked close to the condo's that burned, no damage to the building.  Our best pump operator came out of his house to respond, and found he had 2 slashed tires on his car.  We were lucky we had enough people respond to handle the call.  I hope we find out who it was that caused the vandalism, we cannot tolerate this kind of behavior.

Hard to understand why someone would do such a thing.

Unfortunately the people who participate in such type behavior do not understand the potential implications of their actions.  With limited fire personnel during day time hours take one or two out of the equation due to randon or nonrandom acts of vandalism and it could result in the loss of property or perhaps even life.  I understand this was not an isolated case as other vehicles around the village area were vandalized as well.
