Title: Pink in the morning -- Sailors take warning.

Well that's how I remember it.  Caught this weather phenomenon this morning while getting a load of wood for the stove.   Ice crystals in the upper atmosphere reflect the light of the rising ( in this case ) or the setting sun.

Yes, Sailors take warning, but not really going to be that bad - Will put out a little more salt and try to get the rest of the ice off my driveway:

A warm front will move through the North Country today, accompanied by some wet weather which will start out as a light wintry mix of some snow, sleet, and freezing rain before changing over to a few light rain showers in the Champlain Valley and points west.  But east of the Green Mountains, that light wintry mix may persist into the afternoon and evening hours.

Temperatures will get into the low-to-mid 30s for highs today.

What a stunning photograph.  "Red sky in morning, sailors' take warning.  Red sky at night, sailors' delight" is how I remember it!
