Title: Robert Jolley Dies At Age 57

St. Albans - Mr. Robert J. Jolley, age 57, died Saturday morning, February 28, 2009, in the Fletcher Allen Health Care Center, following a brief illness, with his loving family at his bedside.  Robert was born in Burlington October 5, 1951 son of the late Emanuel “Pete” and Doris (Martell) Jolley.  Bob graduated from Bellows Free Academy and Champlain College.  He was president and partner with his brother, Bruce, of S. B. Collins, Inc. and Jolley Associates, operating a chain of Jolley and Short Stop convenience stores, in Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.  Bob had so many diverse interests.  Aside from his passion for the family business, he had an affinity for classic cars, especially Corvettes and BMW’s and was an avid car collector.  He had an extensive collection of art and was an avid reader, with an insatiable appetite for entertainment and financial related publications.   He loved following the movie industry.  He loved his time with his boys and family, his pride and joy, and traveling.

Bob is survived by the love of his life, Mary Ellen (Bevins) Jolley with whom he had shared his life since October of 1977 and married on August 19, 1994.  Besides his wife, Bob is survived by his three special sons Evan J. Jolley, Peter E. Jolley and Colin R. Jolley all residing at home, his brother Bruce and his wife Cherri Jolley of Colchester, their daughter Ashley Jolley, an aunt Eleanor J. Gilbert of South Burlington, mother-in-law Betty Bevins of Milton, brothers-in-law and their wives Robert  and Bette  Bevins and their children Stefanie Cox, Danielle Bevins, and Joshua Bevins of Atlanta, Ga., Bruce and Susan Bevins and their son Nathaniel Bevins of South Burlington, sister-in-law and her husband Suzanne and Charles Wells of Milton and their children Chelsea Brooks and Ethan Wells of Milton several dear cousins.  He was predeceased by his parents Pete and Doris and father-in-law Hiram Bevins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1:00 P. M. in Holy Angels Church.  Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. from 4 to 7 P. M. Thursday.  Private interment will be in the Jolley Family Lot in Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington.  Those planning an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorials are recommended to the St. Albans City Elementary School Playground Fund, 7 Bellows St. St. Albans, Vt.05478.  Online Condolences may be sent to Bob’s family and employees by the funeral home website:  www.bnlfh.com (http://www.bnlfh.com).  The business offices of S.
