Went out to get my Free Press (I guess we received the light edition) and we have a dusting of snow, however, underneath that snow was some water that froze down near the road. The light snow on top of that ice makes for an opportunity for you to take a good fall if you are not watching for it, so be careful!!
The roads look bare, but Numerous accidents reported on I-89, near exit 16
Vermont State Police have responded this morning to numerous reports of vehicles off the road in northwest Vermont because of excessive speed on slippery roads.
The worst area is interstate 89 between the Lamoille River bridge and Exit 16, and US Route 2 through Grand Isle, police said.
Drivers should slow down and leave plenty of room between vehicles. Leave yourself extra time to reach your destinations and expect delays.
