Title: Looks Like Mud Season Is Here

Well when the "The City Folks" come out sugarhouse hunting, they are apt to find out what "Mud Season" is in Vermont.  Haven't heard how the back roads are, but my drive is breaking up and my sister tells me her driveway is also breaking up.

Back on Fairfield Ridge we already had ordered a new muffler from Sears Roebuck for the old '35 Plymouth, as sure enough we knew we would lose the one on the car in "Mud Season."  A new muffler back then used to cost about $9.

I don't envy our "Meals on Wheels" folks who deliver on the back roads.
