Title: Fairfax Fire Called Out To Tabor Hill Road For A Structure Fire
Post by: Henry on March 15, 2009, 05:10:36 PM
Fairfax Fire was called out about an hour ago to a structure fire in the vicinity of 11 Tabor Hill Road.  According to my scanner which is not an official notification, a 20 x 20 foot shed was on fire.

I was not on the scene and this information should not be considered as official information.

The fire yesterday on Tabor Hill Road was at Charlotte Blum's place.  Charlotte told me that it started from ashes that were 48 hours old.  She said she had no idea that ashes would maintain heat that long.  One of the firemen told her that the heat could stay in the ashes for up to two weeks - I had no idea that ashes could be a fire hazard for that long either.  There must be a special way of disposing of ashes that would prevent this from happening.
