Title: Signs Of Spring, But No Camera
Post by: Henry on March 16, 2009, 08:15:32 AM
Well, the boys on Maple Street are out in their basketball shorts playing basketball, the guy who lives across from The United Church was raking his lawn and some folks up here on the Fletcher Road had their lawn chairs out and were sitting in them without jackets with the barbecue grill going and a couple of women, one with a youngster in a backpack were out strolling.

The temperature did not reach 50 degrees, but to us Vermonters, its definitely time to get out and inhale that nice fresh air.

Spring is definitely on its way ... our postman delivered mail at my work wearing shorts today.  We are also planning a "pastel day" for Friday -- everyone must wear a spring pastel color that day.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm one of the few people at my work that LOVE the winter; but I'm ready for the 50-60 degree weather (but not looking forward to the 80-90s).

I saw a robin yesterday and geese flying overhead today. Sap buckets are filling up nicely as well.
