Title: Are You One Of Those Fairpoint Customers Getting A Credit
Post by: Henry on March 18, 2009, 06:41:49 AM
The Charlotte, N.C., company, she said, decided to offer $10 credits because "so many did have difficulty, more than we anticipated."

Aside from the $10 credit, a month's credit for DSL Internet service will be given if customers lost e-mail service for more than one week, said Tamera Pariseau, coordinator of consumer affairs at the Vermont Public Service Department. The credits will be issued within the next 60 days, Pariseau said.

Channel 3 News said last night:

"Any customers who called us who had difficulties with their email migration will automatically receive that $10 credit. There's no need for those customers to call us, that should be applied to their bill in 30 to 60 days. The credit applies to affected customers in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine."

Don't hold your breath!  We have been waiting for a credit since November 2008 when we left Verizon and have been promised by Fairpoint after three phone calls and finally a letter that we would receive the money due.
