Well, holding off spring a bit might not set well with some people, but I am sure the sugarmakers would like a couple more weeks. I know that once you hear the frogs croaking, (Haven't heard them yet) thats about it for sugaring, or at least that is what the Old Timers used to say. I don't see any buds coming out on my hard maples in the front yard, but won't take many more nights of not freezing and they will be there.
Of course, I'm not really ready to pick up the winter debris off my lawn yet either. It isn't even April 1st yet and sure would hate to think I would have to start mowing the lawn on May 1st - Sure would make a long lawn mowing season.
