We had a gloomy weekend, though Sunday we had a break from the rain. That won't be the case today, as rain will arrive around midday, and become heavy at times during the afternoon and evening. We'll need to keep an eye on possible flooding. The rain will taper to showers and snow showers tonight, and continue on Tuesday. Unsettled weather is expected through the week, with Thursday being the best day with partly sunny skies and just the chance for a shower.
The "Poor Man's Fertilizer" has pretty much disappeared leaving some pale green in my lawn. Saw a chubby little robin out in front of my house this morning with some straw in her beak, so she must be getting ready to build her nest. It will be interesting to see if she builds it in the same place as it was last year underneath an overhang between two of my roofs. For some reason the old one blew down and landed on my walkway last fall.
JoAnne Wilkins usually gets some unique photos, maybe she will get one of a robin building her nest. As for me, I could end up chasing a robin all day and never get it doing anything interesting.
Wish we would be having better weather this week as my Dad use some sort of calculation based on the weather in Holy Week to predict what the weather would be like during the coming year. Not sure it was very valid, but he always felt it gave him some insight on things to come.
