The American crew of a hijacked cargo ship commanded by a man from Vermont has regained control of the vessel, Pentagon sources have told the Associated Press.
Pentagon sources spoke on condition of anonymity because information was still preliminary. But sources said today the hijacked crew, which includes the ship's captain' Richard Phillips, of Underhill, had retaken control from Somali pirates who hijakced the vessel far off the Horn of Africa.

The hijacked Captain is from Underhill and a graduate of Mass Maritime Academy, the same college that my son in law graduated from. My son in law did not continue on in the navy career. Thank God, I certainly don't know how I could handle something like this. Hopefully they will rescue him soon.
