Title: Paying Pirates Ransom

I am no negotiator, but I believe I had heard somewhere that if ransoms are paid it increases the chances of more hostages being taken.  It will be very interesting to see what happens here.

I watched the 6 p.m. news on Channel 3 and they actually had an expert from Champlain College speak about this very topic.  Strangely enough, I never realized that there are 260 hostages on French, Chinese, Russian and other ships until the Captain from Underhill was held hostage.  Chris Santee's Web Site http://www.franklinone.com/ (http://www.franklinone.com/) states that the Captain has some friends here at BFA.  To read more on the Ransom Situations and what they try to do, you can click on the following link if you wish:
