Early morning break-in at Westford Market

Vermont Stale Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at the Westford Market, located on VT Route 128 in Westford. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Tuesday,  August 30, 2005 at approximately 12:30 AM.

The store owner, Kevin Kearns, told Vermont State Trooper Plaster that he (Kearns) responded to the store upon being notified of an activated alarm. Multiple atlempts at entry had been made in various locations around the perimeter of the building. The suspect(s) finally gained forced entry through a side window, which led into the basement of the building. Upon entering the basement, the suspect(s) forced their way through a door leading up into the store.

State police are currently investigating the items that were stolen from the business. Evidence from the burglary was recovered at the scene.
